Wakayama City Youth Sumo Club

Based at the Wakayama Prefectural Sumo Arena, this club helps children hone their minds and bodies through interactions with powerhouse corporate teams like the Wakayama Prefectural Government and Matsugen Co., Ltd. Guided by the motto 'sometimes strict, sometimes kind,' we have produced numerous amateur yokozuna and nationally recognized athletes. We are committed to passing on the traditions of Wakayama—a true sumo kingdom—to the next generation, providing passionate coaching to everyone from complete beginners to those aiming for national championship titles.
