Founded in 2015, the Kyoto Ryoyo High School Women's Sumo Club is one of the nation's premier teams, known for their 'thinking sumo' philosophy and achievements including a world junior runner-up title and a top-eight finish in international competition. As pioneers in women's sumo, the club is dedicated to promoting the sport and fostering connections across regions and generations.
