Kagoshima Sumo Club

Based at Tamae Elementary School in Kagoshima City, the 'Tamae Sumo Club' is a dojo dedicated to the healthy development of elementary school students, inspired by the traditional Satsuma 'Go-chu' education spirit. In a warm, supportive atmosphere where older students look out for the younger ones, the children hone their minds and bodies daily. With other notable organizations in the prefecture, such as the Amami-based 'Kasari Junior Sumo Club' which boasts national championship titles, we are passionately cultivating the future talent of Kagoshima, a true kingdom of sumo.
