Shika Sumo Club

Based in Shika Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, we are the 'Shika Sumo Club.' Our club brings together young talent from elementary schools across the town, training daily with the goal of representing Shika Town and achieving top results at both prefectural and national tournaments. We have produced numerous athletes who compete at the national level, including team champions at the National Junior High School Sumo Championship and individual medalists at the Wanpaku Sumo National Tournament. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, we focus not only on technical improvement but also on cultivating the 'heart, technique, and body'—emphasizing the importance of etiquette, respect, and a spirit of gratitude.
