Oki Sumo Club

The Oki Sumo Club was established in Okinoshima Town, Shimane Prefecture, to provide junior high school students with an environment where they can continue to dedicate themselves to sumo. During this critical period of physical and mental development, students learn not only technical skills but also etiquette and the unique local sumo culture. We are dedicated to preserving the tradition of 'Kotensumo' (classical sumo), which is synonymous with Oki, and fostering the next generation of sumo practitioners.
